You do not need to set up a factory   All the equipment needed to make your soap  are always available you don’t need to buy them at times  just a big bowl  basin or plastic drum and  bucket  that has a measurement lines in it clean water and liter kegs a long turning wooden stick  and smaller one for  pre-mixing of the chemicals small bowls  and tools for measuring  hand gloves  .

Chemicals for Making Liquid Soap  And Their Functions
When making liquid soap there are some ingredient/chemicals  you must know and their functions for proper application, especially if it’s your first time in producing liquid soap.
1.Caustic Soda – stain removing  Agent
2.Natrosol – is a binding and cleaning also a thickener
3.Soda ash – enhances washing performance as a soap, also the major thickening Agent
4.Laurel Rice – Foaming Agent
5.Sulphonic acid – foaming and cleaning agent
6.STPP — is  a cleaning agent
7.Texapon – Foaming booster agent
8.Formalin – Preservative Agent
9.Coloring – is add beauty to your finish product
10.Perfume – give your product nice smell
Here Are The Three (3) Additional Chemicals 
1.Glycerin – Glycerin helps skin to stay soft and supple. Glycerin also moisturizes the skin and it’s a natural product of the soap making process
2.Vitamin E – Vitamin E encourages healing of skin and reduces scarring from injury. Overall, vitamin E shields skin from damage due to its protective properties. It also boosts the immune system.
3.Industrial Salt – It helps to reduce the power of chemicals in this production – Remember, with these additional chemicals you can also bath  with this product making it multi-purpose for any thing washing.
Chemicals Measurements For Making Liquid Soap 60 liters
when producing liquid soap, the quantity of the ingredients is very important, it can determine the thickness also allows you determine the quantity of your production also your market target, below is the multipurpose liquid soap detergent production for 60 litre.
Natrosol:1/4 kg
Sulphonic acid;1 1/2litre
Caustic soda:1/8kg
STPP:1/2kg
SLS1/4kg
Soda ash :1kg
Texapon :1kg
Industrial salt 1/8kg
Perfume: in liquid of 25cl
Colour :in powdered (dilute with water before use)
Formalin: in liquid (use about 10 cl )
Where You Can Buy This Chemicals
You can buy from any chemical market or dealers depending your location, you can also get this chemical  in Lagos major chemical market, Ojota. It’s recommended you buy genuine chemical and not adulterated to avoid your production form damaging.

Process In Making Multi-purpose Liquid Soap

1. Soak small quantity of caustic soda is a bowl (bowl A) with some water.
2. Soak the Soda ash in a different bowl (bowl B) as well.
3. Soak the STPP in another bowl (bowl C) too.
4. Soak the Laurel Rice/Rice in another bowl (bowl D).
5. Get a separate bucket and pour in Sulphonic acid and add Texapon into it. Then stir the mixture so that the Sulphonic acid will dissolve the Texapon you can add the Laurel Rice to it to dissolve together .

For a perfect production you wait for about 30 minutes for all the chemicals to dissolve. You can also stir each one of them to make it faster .

1. Turn 30 litre of water into a 60 litres vessel/drum  which is your  production volume, with a clean water
2. Then gradually pour the Natrosol into the 60 liters vessel/drum and stir gently as if you are making  amala.
3. After that pour the small bowls on after the order respectively into the Big bucket containing Natrosol. That is bowl A before bowl B then bowl C before bowl D.
4. Now pour the content of the separate bucket of sulphonic acid and texapon in the Big bucket containing all other mixture and stir very well for like 10 – 15 minutes.
5. Add 5ml of Formalin for preservative Please keep out the reach of kids and don’t in hale.
6. Now add the Glycerin, Vitamin E and the Industrial salt then stir properly
7. Add your water base color and stir for some minutes
8. Add perfume already dissolved in water about 20 cl and stir for another 5 minutes

Allow the mixture to settle you can start using your liquid soap right away. It might not look clean immediately after production; you might see some small  burbles but it will clear wit time.

Registration and Naming Your Company/Product
In Nigeria NAFDAC and SON is the regulating body in this area, after you have successfully start your liquid soap production you have to meet their specification by sending them your product sample for analysis.
Your  product name should be  catchy short and easy to  memorize, its your brand you are going to live with it and say it day in and day out, on every conversation ,  So make sure you really love whatever name you choose to give your product as a brand.
